Hi, here's a port for burp (http://burp.grke.org) - a nicely written backup client/server software. It communicates over an ssl connection (no ssh) and uses librsync for deltas - and it provides its own burp_ca script to generate the server/client ssl certificates.
I made the server run as unpriviledged _burp user, and for obvious reasons the client should probably run as root by default - the config files/dir are _burp-owned since it creates certificates there and rewrites its own config file (well..) feedback welcome! Landry
