Given that this is a ports hackathon: If anybody is aware of any annoying multibyte character issues in ports land, feel free to tell me... Obviously, i don't promise to fix it, but at least i'll have a look and try if i can come up with a reasonable idea. Otherwise, i'll just continue with the ongoing UTF-8 work in base. Thanks, Ingo
