It sets LC_CTYPE to en_US.UTF-8 if I do a locale, not lang or any of the others. Paste still doesn't work, I still get ????????
locale looks the same on a 5.6 machine but I've never run Abiword on it. Just tried by vnc, it does the same thing with question marks when I paste.
