Hi! Here is a new port for fdk-aac - the best open source aac encoder, although tainted with Apache 2.0 license. From pkg/DESCR:
Fraunhofer FDK AAC codec library provides high-quality open source AAC encoder and decoder implementations. It was releases as part of Android Open Source Project and consequently repackaged, modified and published as part of opencore-amr project. Additional testing would be appreciated: I only tested its ability to encode audio on amd64 and to play it back with third-party decoders. Comments? OKs? -- Dmitrij D. Czarkoff
