Just to say how I'm getting on after all the help from Stuart et al. The port
to install the escpr ppd files works like a charm.

Following the indications in cups package readme the browser tool finds the usb
printer automatically and pointing it at the ppd file configures it no problem.

$ sudo chown _cups /dev/ugen0.* /dev/usb0
$ sudo /etc/rc.d/cupsd restart
When I restart cups try to print a test page and it seems the printer is not
ready.

sx205 is not ready

Looking at dmesg (attached) I'm wondering how I set about ulpt in the kernel.
Do I have to recompile it maybe? I'll crack on anyhow.
