Hi I use youtube-dl quite often. I currently have it installed using the OpenBSD package, on my 5.4 -current system.
I wondered how often this package is updated as I understand the developers of youtube-dl update it quite frequently. Is it better, then, to download the program from their site as opposed to using the package; and, then update it using its own in-built update mechanism (-U)? I do prefer to use packages for my system. In fact, all my third party software has been installed from OpenBSD packages. With this particular software, do you recommend sticking with the package or getting a copy from the program's site? Another trivial question, i know. Sorry about that.
