Python 2.5 vs 2.7

I'm not sure which version to install. This Python script I have
requires at least version 2.5, but I'm not sure whether I should
just install 2.5 or if 2.7 would be "better" (i.e. more stable?)
than 2.5. Which would be considered more stable?
