Hi,

I don't know if this will be interresting for someone here but :

During cuspd installation through ports (and though a litle bit of
packages : i didn't find the way to produce
foomatic-db-gutenprint*.tgz), i was able to declare one printer with one
configuration (Epson R1900 with glossy color photo paper configuration
in this case).

When i attempted to create an other logical printer based on the same
physical device but with another tuning (still the R1900 but aimed to
mat B&W art paper) : i got the error "Unable to copy PPD file!" with the
https interface, and i got in the cups error log (std configuration) :

E [25/Jul/2011:00:34:58 +0200] [CGI] Could not determine driver name for
Epson-Stylus_Photo_R1900-gutenprint-ijs.5.2.ppd!
E [25/Jul/2011:00:34:58 +0200] copy_model: empty PPD file!
E [25/Jul/2011:00:34:58 +0200] Returning IPP server-error-internal-error
for CUPS-Add-Modify-Printer
(ipp://localhost/printer/EpsonStylusColorR1900BW) from localhost

I also tried to create a new entry with another driver (ok) and to
modify it afterward : same result.

I also performed pkg installation, pkg removal, ports recompilation &
reinstallation... no change was observed.

I don't know if this is related to the port configuration within OpenBSD
or not, but i was unable find any trace of this strange behavior.

Note : i was using an AMD64 OpenBSD 4.9 configuration in an "out of the
box" state.

Regards,
Eric Huiban.
