This updates Chicken to 4.0. There have been fairly substantial changes in the language since 2.6, particularly in the macro system. A work-in-progress update was posted a few months ago, but I haven't seen any feedback. This re-post fixes some path issues, and all the regress tests pass on amd64. Also, I contacted the previous maintainer, who says that she hasn't had time and that I could maintain it instead.
Tested on amd64, please test and commit. In particular, could someone on sparc64 please test if the gcc 3.3.5 workaround is still necessary? Thanks, Scott
