Hello-
I have spent most of my OpenBSD time using i386 snapshots. I recently came
into a Dell Optiplex 755 Core 2 Duo w/ 4GB ram and decided to try the
latest amd64 snapshot on it. Most everything works fine, but I have run
into core dumps on several packages (grabbed from ftp snapshot packages
directory) such as pypanel, fbpanel, and obconf. I then deleted the
packages and built these from snapshot ports but with the same result.
The only sysctl that I have tuned is 'machdep.allowaperture=2'.
Everything else is a vanilla configuration.
If anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to prevent/fix these core
dumps I would be very grateful. I would be happy to help the port
maintainers debug/test anything necessary to fix them. Dmesg is below.
