Hello [EMAIL PROTECTED] Recent snapshot and packages from ftp mirror. Default system keyboard layout (no /etc/kbtype).
Default device section for Keyboard in xorg.conf Two keyboard layouts are set in Gnome: US English and Russian. Keyboard layout switcher is set to Ctrl+Alt in Gnome. Everything works fine until xorg restart. After restart I am unable to switch layouts until I go into Preferences and un-check and check again Ctrl+Alt check box. After that, keyboard layout switching works again. Until a next xorg restart. Additionally, sometimes I see (EE) Error compiling keymap (server-0) (EE) XKB: Couldn't compile keymap in the console (not sure if it is related to the problem). Googling shows similar problem with various linux distributions with recent xserver. Alexey.
