HiPerConTracer uses it because zstd compression is fast and efficient. Since BOOST provides zstd support, it should be enabled. In its current state, a program source using BOOST and zstd successfully compiles (i.e. support seems to be there) but the linking fails. This seems to be a bug in the OpenBSD packaging, probably the same as in the FreeBSD package (which got fixed some time ago).
Currently, BOOST with zstd filter is working on Linux (Ubuntu/Debian, Fedora, OpenSUSE, Alpine), FreeBSD, NetBSD, and Solaris (OpenIndiana).
