  Yes, definitely.
  
  Transmission's main attraction is not only the GTK client. It can also be
started as a daemon, and then you add new torrents with transmission-remote.

  I never used the GTK part, only the command-line version on a server
without X11. It's an excellent and lightweight alternative to the Ocaml
client.
