Putting a public nameserver into resolv.coná¸.tail helped me with PPTP-based VPN. I also used to lose DNS in some cases whenever resolv.conf was overwritten by dhclient, e.g. if the nameserver configured via DHCP had a non-public IP which was not reachable due to my VPN config messing with the routing table. -- stefan http://stsp.name PGP Key: 0xF59D25F0
