I have built a new kernel with this patch; unfortunately rather than fix
the sound issue in zsnes, it makes sound totally unusable in any application.
It gets very bad lag, about 250ms sound to 250ms gap non-stop. strobe sound :D

was worth a try, more must have changed in the netbsd audio than just that 
change to auich i guess. regards,
