Wouldn't it be preferable to add py-test-order and have mostly working tests? Quickly whipped up port for that attached. Its own tests don't look great, but with this py-test-run-parallel has one assertion failure, so that looks pretty good (it needs at least py3-hypothesis as a tdep).
