According to ICANN, RDAP is now the definitive source for gTLD domain
registration information (and is also available on some, though not all,
ccTLDs). Currently registrars generally still offer WHOIS access, though
at some point it seems likely that RDAP may completely replace this.

rdapper is a client for this written in Perl. A couple of dependencies
are needed, the attached tar includes

net/p5-LWP-Online
net/p5-Net-ASN
net/p5-Net-RDAP
net/rdapper

There are some other clients available; I chose to write ports for this
because it's the only one I've found that's written in a language
available on all OpenBSD archs...
