ports@, I just noticed that automake-1.17 was released about 6 months ago. I'd like to import it.

Anyway, to avoid 'First argument to cross-reference may not be empty' I was forced to add some referces. I used "Top" (see patch-doc_automake_texi), but I don't like it, and I'm looking for any suggestion for better way. Feedback? Tests? Ok?
