There were some issues (namely domain migration) that broke downloading of modules, rendering the software unportable. It was fixed upstream in a later commit after tag v0.38.0. I have since added a browser extension for improving anti-fingerprinting capabilities (I didn't test) and a README file that explains the setup. Similar improvements to the webtunnel port. Most weird choices are either gone or commented with reasons behind them. Tarball with all changes attached. Sorry for taking so long to reply.
