Here's the update to TeX Live 2024.
Has anyone been brave enough to give this a shot?

Hi Edd,
I'm just trying it now - running into dependency issue, that I've not yet
solved:
===> Building package for texlive_base-2024
Create /usr/ports/packages/amd64/all/texlive_base-2024.tgz
Broken dependency: lang/python/3 non existent
The ports.tgz shipped with 7.6 stable is broken because it didn't include
lang/python/3.
Use a tree checked out with cvs or git. It would be preferable to test
on current rather than stable (if you're actually on stable).
Thanks that was the issue - I had failed to cvs up.
I am now building luametatex - from Edd's earlier update that I had also
missed.
Hope to have some feedback on texlive 2024 soon.
Cheers
Fred
