run the commands you gave and this is what happened:
$ doas ktrace -di gorilla
Just ktrace, not doas ktrace. (You'll need to rm ktrace.out first).
I'm dubious that it will tell much though.
Oops! Plonker at work. So I deleted ktrace.out and ran the commands again:
$ ktrace -di gorilla
$ kdump -f ktrace.out >gorilla.dump
File attached
unfortunately, as Stuart hinted there is nothing obvious in the dump
file. I don't have any suggestions for trying to debug selections in X
which might the issue rather than gorilla...
