I'm not sure I understand the motivation for proposing to delete it.

Upstream is incredibly active.

It is a very useful tool for anyone interested in number theory.

Updates should not be too difficult to do although last time I looked
into it there were some weird build issues in regard to getting those
shared libraries built.

p.s. The current version is from 2020. Surely we have ports far older
than this that merit a trip to the attic?
