Hello, I noticed that Alacritty didn't show properly in my XFCE menu. It seems it also happens on Gnome and is a well-known problem.
Following directions from https://github.com/alacritty/alacritty/blob/master/INSTALL.md#desktop-entry, I modified the port's Makefile and it seems to solve the problem.
# /usr/ports/infrastructure/bin/portcheck x11/alacritty Diff is attached, Joel C.
