Asking because it's part of the latest release. Also, are you sure you're running aerc 0.13? -CURRENT should have 0.13, -STABLE 0.12. Admittedly I've only used aerc with the imap backend, but a quick test with source = maildir://~/Maildir/op/ works more or less. I tried to create some dummy directories and they aren't shown in the sidebar. However aerc is a bit fd-hungry (or just leaks?) and so I can't successfully visit all the maildirs before it runs out ("Personal: open ...: too many open files") making it unusable for me.
