Diffs in attachments are fine on ports@. Better that than have to hand apply mangled diffs due to line wrapping etc (which are especially likely with ports, in particular with diffs to patches). For diffs to src on tech@ you are better off with inline indeed (and make sure they can be applied; some MTAs are known to mangle them)
