Our port is at 1.0.10 and has not seen an update since import in 2011, upstream is now at 3.2.0 (2020) and this port still fails to build with `-fno-common'.
Noone has stepped up to fix or update it and there are least two alternatives in ports: kdenlive and shotcut. Objections? OK?
