Compiles, passes lib-depends-check and update-plist, and
shunt -c 'dd if=/dev/zero bs=4096 count=16' + 'dd of=test$SHUNT_STARTS bs=512
count=8'
does not appear to do any strange things.
I hope this port can be committed this time...
