I think you just don't know enough about flash (and I don't
blame you if you don't want to know that). Gnash claims to
support "most of the features in SWF v7" which it does. The
things you are having problems with are swf 8 and flash video,
from their web page: "SWF v7 compliant
Gnash can play many current flash movies."
i think there's also a difference between supporting most features and
supporting the features that most flash files use. i am, as you say,
not interested in versions of flash. i am interested in "playing
current flash movies". whatever gnash's site says, i would like
(wishing) for the port to more accurately describe what it can do
(today).
