Hi. Here's a diff that change the _spamdaemon user's home directory from /nonexistent to /var/spamassassin (owned by _spamdaemon). This way, one can start spamd as the _spamdaemon user and make use of auto-whitelist, bayes... without error.
Without this patch you get errors like: spamd[1987]: mkdir /nonexistent: Permission denied at /usr/local/libdata/perl5/site_perl/Mail/SpamAssassin.pm line 1487 spamd[1987]: locker: safe_lock: cannot create tmp lockfile /nonexistent/.spamassassin/auto-whitelist.lock.yourhost.domain.tld.1987 for /nonexistent/.spamassassin/auto-whitelist.lock: No such file or directory spamd[1987]: auto-whitelist: open of auto-whitelist file failed: locker: safe_lock: cannot create tmp lockfile /nonexistent/.spamassassin/auto-whitelist.lock.yourhost.domain.tld.1987 for /nonexistent/.spamassassin/auto-whitelist.lock: No such file or directory Let me know! -- Antoine
