A few weeks ago, I started using KPhotoAlbum and while I really like it, I discovered that it was not reading exif data from my camera files. After a bit of thrashing, I got exiv2 to build (statically) and rebuilt KPhotoAlbum, which detected & used the library without changing anything else in the port. KPhotoAlbum now has access to the exif data, so I don't have to enter dates by hand :-)
I've never made a port before, and this seemed manageable enough, so here it is. Tested (w/o KPhotoAlbum) on i386-current and sparc64-current; tested w/KPhotoAlbum on i386-4.0-beta. Please comment/test. Thanks! Frank
