Is eaccelerator an alternative for you? Might be if you're on PHP 5.0
and you don't specifically need Zend.

Xcache also works, with any PHP version.

Unfortunately, I believe I need the real thing -- I'm trying to set up a development environment for a pre-existing web site that I'm making modifications to, and I get a page telling me that I need Zend 2.10 or greater when I attempt to pull up any of the Zend-related code. That is unless, of course, Xcache is a replacement for Zend (which does not appear to be the case from my quick bit of research).

Thanks,
Alex Kirk
