because the no_bindings FLAVOR doesn't depend on python. the "GENERIC" python port has a BUILD_DEPENDS on tk, which in turn depends on X. you could either build the no_tkinter FLAVOR of python, or, much easier, just use packages. why do people want build ports on a firewall, but then insist that installing xbase on a firewall is a problem? IMO, the only half legitimate reason for not installing xbase is if space is a concern, but then to build ports, there must be some available space anyway. to me, it seems rather contradictory. -- <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
