Hi! Did anyone get BEA Workshop plugin working under Eclipse? I need a visual editor for JSP since the WTP plugin for Eclipse doesn't support it yet. Here's what've done: (i386 arch)
I've got the Feb 27. snapshot installed, built jdk-1.5.0 from the ports and installed Eclipse 3.1 from the precompiled snapshot packages. Also, I've updated Eclipse with built-in update manager to 3.1.2 and it seems to be working fine. Then I've downloaded the free BEA Workshop 3.0 build 489 linux install and installed it using linux emulation. Everything seemed to drop in place nicely but when I try to start a new Workshop project from the Eclipse or acces the Workshop plugin properties page I get the following: The program 'Eclipse' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'. (Details: serial 216 error_code 3 request_code 20 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) pkg_info: atk-1.10.3p1 accessibility toolkit used by gtk+ autoconf-2.13p0 automatically configure source code on many Un*x platforms blackbox-0.70.0p1 small & pretty window manager for 8 and more bits displays bzip2-1.0.3 block-sorting file compressor, unencumbered cairo-1.0.2p0 vector graphics library colorls-3.7.1p0 ls that can use color to display file attributes eclipse-plugin-emf-sdk-2.1.1 Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) eclipse-plugin-gef-sdk-3.1 graphical editing environment for eclipse eclipse-plugin-uml2-sdk-1.0.2 UML diagram framework for Eclipse eclipse-sdk-3.1p5 general-purpose, extensible IDE for Java & other langs elinks-0.11.0 full-featured text WWW browser esound-0.2.34p0 sound library for Enlightenment expat-1.95.6p1 XML 1.0 parser written in C gettext-0.14.5p1 GNU gettext ghostscript-fonts-6.0p0 35 standard PostScript fonts with Adobe name aliases glib2-2.8.4 general-purpose utility library glitz-0.4.4 OpenGL image compositing library gmake-3.80p1 GNU make gtar-1.15.1p3 GNU version of the traditional tar archiver gtk+2-2.6.10p1 multi-platform graphical toolkit iodbc-2.50.3p0 ODBC 2.x driver manager iperf-2.0.2 tool for measuring maximum TCP and UDP bandwidth jakarta-tomcat-5.0.28p2 Java servlet 2.4 and Java server pages 2.0 server jakarta-tomcat-examples-5.0.28p2 example applications and documentation jdk-1.4.2p7 Java2(TM) Standard Edition Dev Kit v1.4.2 jdk-1.5.0p9 Java2(TM) Standard Edition Dev Kit v1.5.0 jpeg-6bp3 IJG's JPEG compression utilities libIDL-0.8.5p0 IDL parsing library libaudiofile-0.2.6p0 SGI audiofile library clone libiconv-1.9.2p3 character set conversion library libltdl-1.5.22p1 GNU libtool system independent dlopen wrapper libtool-1.5.22 generic shared library support script mc-4.6.1p0 free Norton Commander clone with many useful features metaauto-0.5 wrapper for gnu auto* mozilla-firefox-1.5.0.1 redesign of Mozilla's browser component nspr-4.4.1p0 Netscape Portable Runtime openmotif-2.1.30.5p1 Motif toolkit pango-1.10.2p0 library for layout and rendering of text pine-4.64p1 program for Internet E-mail and News pkgconfig-0.19p0 tool for managing library compile/link flags png-1.2.8 library for manipulating PNG images ratpoison-1.3.0p1 minimal wm based on GNU screen redhat_base-8.0p8 Linux compatibility package based on RedHat 8.0 screen-4.0.2 multi-screen window manager tcsh-6.14.00p0 extended C-shell with many useful features tiff-3.7.3p0 tools and library routines for working with TIFF images unzip-5.52 extract, list & test files in a ZIP archive wget-1.10.2p0 retrieve files from the web via HTTP, HTTPS and FTP zip-2.3p0 create/update ZIP files compatible with PKZip(tm) Anything I can try?
