I just ran into a couple of problems with pkg_delete If the name of the module to be removed is not exactly correct, pkg_delete does not print any error message.
I had installed python 2.3 and then installed python-idle-2.4. pkg_add installed idle-2.4 but did not install python 2.4, so attempts to run idle-2.4 fail because python-2.4 is not present. Also, pyparsing does not seem to be present. This looks like an extremely useful package.
