Good point. I need to reread the man pages now that I have 3.7 installed.
But the following comment from man pkg_create makes me wonder:
" Use of the ports(7) infrastructure instead of manual pkg_create invoca-
tion is strongly recommended."
Also, the command for replacing (updating) packages concludes with a
caveat that it probably has lots of bugs since it is so new. It is, however,
a marvelous idea that will make upgrading systems a lot easier when it
has been fully debugged.
