I know. Regard it as a simple question, if anybody has seen similar stuff -
with the frequency of failures I get (at least one per hour with 20 hosts
under supervision) it there were really something wrong with the port I
guess somebody else would have noticed it by now. I'll try to reproduce in a
-current box and do a full report if it happens there too. Until then don't
waste your time on it.

I generated some additional I/O load using dd, find and the like, but
couldn't see any correlation to the failures.
