Hi again, I installed a snapshot on another disk on my x86 machine and repeated what I had done on my sparc64 and it worked well. Some strange behavior if you set colours to 256 depth however. The screen flashes. Not sure if this is because the terminal does not support it (I was using vt220).
Reguarding X. I cant see why X is needed. The only reference to X in the manual is for the new window option, which basically runs "xterm -e elinks". No X needed at compile time surely. Reguarding sparc. I wouldnt trust my results alone.
