Hi,

I guess your data would be a PDF including a monochrome (bi-level)
image and OCR-ed text (drawn by with transparent font). If you
want to extract a monochrome image, please try pdfimage which simply
extract the image from the PDF.

However, it is just only for the cases that the visible object
in a page is only single image; if pdfimage is executed for
a PDF including multiple images in a page, like an photo-album,
the component images are extracted, not a composed image).

Hi,
i am not familiar with computer graphics, but pdftoppm is used in a program which behaves strange to me. I want to convert pages from a black and white pdf with pdftoppm to pbm files. This works, however, the output looks frazzled. This is the original (page 1) and the converted (page 2) image. http://www.loaditup.de/files/817245_gcstsh3wuy.pdf
I used -mono and -r 300
Is there a possibility to get the output looking the same as the input?
I have seen the posting
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=86277&action=edit
but this code does not seem to have been integrated and i am not sure whether this would help in my case.
Could someone please help me?
Thanks, Femi
