do you know if it is possible to create a pdf/a validator using poppler?
PDF/A is a standard format for long term archive of documents.
Basically it is based on 1.4 version with some contraints [1]:
• Audio and video content are forbidden.
• JavaScript and executable file launches are prohibited.
• All fonts must be embedded and also must be legally embeddable for
unlimited, universal rendering. This also applies to the so-called PostScript
standard fonts such as Times or Helvetica.
• Colorspaces specified in a device-independent manner.
• Encryption is disallowed.
• Use of standards-based metadata is mandated.
I'm sure that this kind of tool can interest a lot of people in the domain of
long term archiving.
