If you can use the created name servers for your domain, then they are
setup correctly. We do not use HST records, so doing a whois on a DNS
host shows nothing.
You CAN do this though:
$ whois -h whois.crsnic.net ns1.sphaerae.com
Whois Server Version 1.1
Domain names in the .com, .net, and .org domains can now be registered
with many different competing registrars. Go to http://www.internic.net
for detailed information.
Server Name: NS1.SPHAERAE.COM
IP Address: 208.155.64.165
Registrar: TUCOWS.COM, INC.
Whois Server: whois.opensrs.net
Referral URL: www.opensrs.org
>>> Last update of whois database: Wed, 16 Aug 00 03:52:10 EDT <<<
The Registry database contains ONLY .COM, .NET, .ORG, .EDU domains and
Registrars.
