Hi All,

I have been asking on forums and #plymouth for help to no avail. I am
updating my theme with:

plymouth-set-default-theme --update-initrd

And it's not taking.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,
Wes

What distribution are you using? What version of plymouth?

i think you need --rebuild-initrd not --update-initrd or you can run
/usr/libexec/plymouth-update-initrd manually.

Someone replied on irc.

 [Monday 15 March 2010] [01:18:25 |pm] <brejc8>| ah, the one in fedora has a
patch to make it work with dracut

[Monday 15 March 2010] [01:18:33 |pm] <brejc8>| you can manually run dracut

[Monday 15 March 2010] [01:19:47 |pm] <brejc8>| Uresu: dracut
/boot/initramfs-$(uname -r).img $(uname -r)

[Monday 15 March 2010] [01:21:46 |pm] <Uresu>| many thanks, I will try that
and report back :)

This worked for me.

Thanks all.
