I have just checked it on my spotify develop account....still valid

If you look at your server.log you'll see that there are lots of 429s - which means Spotify is rejecting your requests because you're sending too many of them. This is rather surprising if you were really using your own client ID. Did you configure your Spotify accounts on the dev portal, too? Or are you sharing the client ID with many other users? It should easily be good enough for a family account. The 429 really only should happen in case of excessive use (or abuse...). Or if misconfigured.
