Thank you!!! I've downloaded the LMS v8.1.1 from the link you have shared and it has installed perfectly on my DS218+. I was able to upgrade directly from LMS 8.0.0 to 8.1.1. It is now clear that the latest 8.1.1 update file on Pinkdot official repository is corrupt... hence why the installation was not working properly for many users on the forum, most likely all those that like me have finally decided to update to the latest Pinkdot LMS quite a few months after its initial release in January. All is fine now! Hopefully Pinkdot will read these posts and he will be able to replace the corrupt file on his repository with the correct one.
