I did not write LocalSend, but it's open source, here's the source code: https://github.com/localsend/localsend To check if your software is up to date on Xubuntu run: sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade I would tend to agree with George about developer usb settings, and there is also something in there about MTP mode? I think if you swipe down on your phone and look for the USB Connection notification and tap on it for options you'll find it in there. Maybe one of the other modes would work better if MTP doesn't work.
