I highly recommend Amarok.  It "just works" and it integrates with
some music suggestion web services.  It's also very well polished, and
it's consistently been more stable than the other offerings I've found
(such as rhythmbox, or some one-off apps that just shove music onto an
ipod).

In all respects, it's worked very well for me.  You can even control
it remotely from a command line, if you want (so you can script it
trivially--say if you want to use cron as an alarm clock).
