f2it.com is a local company doing voip.  the ata devices he uses work just 
fine through normal firewalls.  but, any device you use behind a firewall 
will probably need priority queueing magic done on the firewall to give 
the best voip experience.  that is why t-mobile wants to replace your 
firewall so they can make sure that voip traffic gets to the head of the 
line always.
