Looks like someone has discovered why network manager keeps looking for old networks after a resume. http://blogs.gnome.org/dcbw/2009/02/26/suspendresume-vs-networkmanager/
I would love to see a talk on the ins-and-outs of NetworkManager, and how to get it to actually work. It *seems* like a great idea (what little I know about it) but I have nothing but issues when it comes to associating with common APs, determining if we're online or not, and apps with "off-line mode" like Firefox and Pidgin (which has no user-accessible toggle, as far as I can tell). Thanks for the link! --Rogan
