Keep in mind most guest OSes have a filesystem buffer cache, and
you would not necessarily be looking at the current
contents.

The host OS has buffer caches too.  So there could be
synchronicity problems.

If you really want to do this, I suggest passing the
read-only mount option.  Seems safer to Ctrl-Z plex86
for the interim, but I leave that up to you.  Officially
though, don't do this. :^)
