A newer card could also have PXE support which would be great. Imagine
installing an OS to your virtual machine off of your virtual network, or
real network for that matter. :)
VMWARE supposedly supports an AMD PCInet card which should support PXE, but
I sure can't get it to work....you can't see any BIOS message posted from
the card during bootup so it all seems rather suspicious to me... :/
