the desktop contents would be completely new, so you would lose such note (also a new desktop with contents copied would be wrong, as when you switch back after having modified the note contents you would wonder why it got the old contents..). for sure i would like to still provide the possibility of having just desktops, either by having the linking optional, or making optional for plasma to switch its desktop when the activity changes.
